Book Review: Rod Duncan - The Bullet-Catcher's Daughter (published in 2014)

I'm keeping to the Goodreads way of rating when I rate this book 2 stars. I would call that low, Goodreads calls it OK so that's what I'm going for. I don't want to be negative about the book, but I also can't be that positive.

Two stars it is.

What is it about? The story is about Elizabeth Barnabus, a girl who dresses up as a man to uncover mysteries. This particular one is about a missing aristocrat. She has to face a travelling circus in her quest to uncover where the Duchess' brother went.

This novel contains elements of steampunk, which I quite liked.

I wasn't enthralled by the story itself. I didn't care about the mystery or what happened to Elizabeth. I bought a "boxed" audiobook set though, so I'll continue reading in this series to see if Duncan's follow up books are better.

2 stars
