Book Review: A.S. King - Everybody Sees the Ants (published in 2011)

It seemed like this book wasn't for me at all, but toward the end of it I became fully enthralled in the imaginative world of Lucky Linderman.

This book is about a young teenager who is constantly bullied at school. And when I say bullied I mean the next level kind. He's even hurt so much his mum decides to take him to family members in Arizona. Lucky escapes by looking for his grandfather in Vietnam, who was a POW and MIA in the 70's.

The growth of the characters is fantastic. The magical realistic items did not bother me. It's a great book if you're "coming-of-age". I wish a book like this was written when I was a young adult. I highly recommend this book nevertheless for all ages.
